Toshiba receives FDA OK for new cardiac flat-panel detector
Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. has received FDA marketing clearance for the new C-panel flat-panel detector (FPD) for the Infinix CC-i vascular system.
The C-panel FPD technology is designed for high-resolution dynamic imaging for cardiovascular intervention and diagnostic exams, as well as greater flexibility for dose reduction. The C-panel FPD is a field-upgradeable component for Toshiba's Infinix CC-i system and takes about three days to complete.
With the new C-panel FPD, Toshiba says the Infinix CC-i offers a variety of frame rate options in both fluoro and record mode. The Toshiba cardiac FPD also is designed with a 20 cm by 20 cm field-of-view for cardiac imaging procedures.
Toshiba says its Infinix CC-i system is the industry's only vascular x-ray system that is field-upgradeable to FPD technology.
The Infinix CC-i also features Toshiba's new Digital Fluorography Processor 8000 (DFP-8000D) for tableside controls over image processing and data management.
