U.K. hospital selects Siemens ultrasound technology

Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in England has installed ultrasound technology from Siemens Healthcare, the Acuson X300 Premium Edition.

The hospital is utilizing the system for portable echocardiograms and abdominal and chest ultrasound exams, as well as line placement for vascular procedures. In addition, the intensive care unit has also purchased a cardiac imaging package with a curvilinear transducer and an additional probe for transoesophageal echocardiography, stated the Malvern, Pa.-based company.
