VHA expands agreement with IBM

To improve the storage capabilities of its nationwide network of 2,200 community-owned healthcare organizations, VHA Inc. will offer IBM storage products, additional servers and Cisco hardware and maintenance services.

The line-up of IBM's storage products includes disk storage, tape storage systems and network-attached storage. Servers include IBM's iSeries and pSeries.

Other products under the agreement with IBM include IntelliStation workstations, ThinkPad notebooks and NetVista desktop computers.

According to VHA, the move is intended to help its affiliated members implement PACS technology.
