Visbion, Hitachi partner to provide DICOM storage solutions

Medical image management solutions company Visbion, will collaborate with Tokyo-based Hitachi to provide DICOM interface for Hitachi storage solutions.

Under the terms of agreement, hospitals will have the capability to store images directly onto the Hitachi disk systems—HCP, HNAS, AMS and USP—and have the ability to query and retrieve the images to/from any workstation or PACS, according to the companies.

According to Surrey, England-based Visibion, the joint venture will offer DICOM support to all departments including radiology, cardiology, mammography, ophthalmology and medical illustration.
