vRad, S&D form N.Y. Radiology Alliance

Virtual Radiologic (vRad) and S&D Medical, a N.Y.-based radiology practice, have entered into a strategic alliance, merging S&D with an affiliated medical practice of vRad.

The practice, which will be called N.Y. Radiology Alliance, offers access to subspecialists, various technology, clinical data benchmarking and the shared expertise of nearly 200 radiologists.

According to the Bedford, N.Y.-based vRad, the merger will take effect Oct. 1.
