Agfa, Nuance partner for Canadian market

Nuance’s critical test result management (CTRM) software, Veriphy, is now integrated into Agfa HealthCare's Impax PACS for the Canadian market.

The Burlington, Mass.-based Nuance said its Veriphy software is now available as an integrated offering with Agfa’s Impax, providing physicians with closed-loop processes for critical test result distribution and notification using various methods, including mobile devices.

According to the companies, the CTRM solution features:
  • Instant and Secure Message Delivery: enables notification of an available critical test result message to be sent from the reporting clinician to the ordering clinician via cell phone, pager, email or text, using a secure PIN for remote audio access.
  • Immediate Alerts: indicates the severity of patient critical test results; continues to send notifications; and redirects messages to a back-up contact until the information is received by someone responsible for patient care.
  • Automatic Tracking: messages are tracked and auditable, summarizing when they are sent and received.
