Siemens inks two Middle East contracts worth $11M

Siemens Healthcare has signed a $5 million (BHD1.85 million) contract with Royal Medical Services, Bahrain Defence Force Hospital; and a $5.9 million (AED22 million) with the NMC Specialty Hospitals. Both of which were announced at Arab Health 2008.

The contract at the 400-bed Bahrain Defence Force Hospital in West Riffa, Kingdom of Bahrain, includes a range of radiology products including MRI, DR systems, digital mammography, ultrasound, as well as mobile digital x-ray systems.  In addition, Siemens said it will offer a 10-year maintenance contract as part of the deal.

The 100-bed NMC Specialty Hospitals in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, will receive the Siemens Somatom Definition dual source CT system.
