ASE, ACCF launch course for contrast use in cardiovascular ultrasound

The American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), along with the American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF), will sponsor Concerto 2008, an educational course highlighting the role of contrast use in cardiovascular ultrasound, February 14-15 in San Diego.

The associations said Concerto 2008 will cover concepts, applications and safety of contrast use. A panel discussion “Safety of Contrast Echocardiography: The Black Box Warning,” will address issues related to the recent FDA-imposed warnings on contrast agents for cardiovascular ultrasound.

Concerto 2008 will provide attendees the opportunity to learn from the experts and participate in small-group interactive learning sessions on how to use ultrasound machines for optimal results with contrast, stress contrast echocardiography and computer-based MCE interpretation rules, the associations said.
