ASRT, Elsevier partner to offer CT education modules

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and technical and medical information publisher Elsevier have formed a partnership to provide technologists with a complete series of CT modules.

Through Mosby's Imaging Suite for technologists' continuing education, hospitals will be able to license the 10 interactive online CT modules which provide technologists with fundamentals of CT, equipment and instrumentation, data acquisition, applications, imaging processing and reconstruction, patient safety, imaging quality, procedures and sectional anatomy and pathology, stated the Albuquerque, N.M.-based society.

After completion of all 10 modules, technologists will earn 14 Category A continuing education credits and receive a recognition of achievement from the ASRT. The complete CT module package will be made available beginning in the fourth quarter, said ASRT.
