Beekley releases new skin markers
Beekley introduced its PinPoint for small field-of-view imaging in MRI and skin markers for digital mammography at the 94th annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago earlier this month.
With a 6-mm Radiance-filled diameter, Pinpoint images consistently on each sequence. Designed to image on two to three slices, PinPoint communicates the area of interest without distorting pathology. Sanitary and convenient to use, PinPoint is a marker of choice when a patient says “it hurts right here,” according to the Bristol, Conn.-based company.
Beekley said that the Designed for Digital Spots supplement written record by identifying and communicating the location of moles, scars and palpable abnormalities directly on the image. Made of a lower density formula, the company said its Designed for Digital Spots communicate without distracting, allowing radiologists complete visibility of tissue detail through the marker without causing artifact and are compatible.
