Eastman Kodak closes on acquisition of RealTimeImage graphics unit

RealTimeImage (RTI) has completed the sale of its graphic arts division to Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG).

RTI says the divestiture of the business unit allows the company to focus on its healthcare IT division and its Pixels-on-Demand technology. RTI plans to use proceeds from the sale to expand product development, sales and marketing.

RTI's primary products are iPACS Web image distribution technology and IPACS Prism, an advanced picture archiving and communication system (PACS) with archiving and DICOM query and retrieve capabilities.
