Echoserve, Barrington acquired by Medical Imaging Holdings

Medical Imaging Holdings has acquired Barrington Medical Imaging and Echoserve.

According to the Golden, Colo.-based Medical Imaging Holdings, the two companies will be combined to create an independent U.S. service provider for medical imaging equipment across multiple modalities and vendor platforms. The combined company will provide field service, depot repair, parts and proprietary equipment sales, as well as sales and installation of refurbished capital equipment.

Senior management of Barrington of Cary, Ill., and Echoserve of Golden, Colo., will remain a part of the combined company's team.

Barrington and Echoserve will continue to conduct business under their existing names and maintain operations at their current facilities during the integration process. Medical Imaging Holdings said it anticipates that a new name for the combined company will be introduced later this year.
