Eleven medical practices sign on for Misys' products

Misys Healthcare Systems is off to a running start in 2004.

The company has announced that 11 medical practices have contracted for Misys' integrated practice management and electronic medical records (EMR) technology.

The facilities include Arbor Family Medicine PC (Thornton, Colo.); Kidstown Pediatrics LLC (Miami, Fla.); Louisville (Ky.) Bone & Joint; The Kidney and Hypertension Center (Cincinnati, Ohio); and Manhattan Minimally Invasive (New York, N.Y.).

The facilities selected Misys Tiger, a Windows-based practice management system that allows providers to manage the administrative needs of their practice more effectively. Fully integrated with the system is Misys EMR, which provides electronic capabilities for routine tasks, such as transcription, imaging, orders management, messaging and prescription writing, as well as a point-of-care solution for physicians in the examination room.
