GE Healthcare introduces Excite on Signa Profile

GE Healthcare announced that the company's 0.2T Signa Profile open MRI system is now available with the company's EXCITE platform.

The EXCITE platform is designed to streamline data management, enabling more advanced techniques and applications.  The introduction of Excite technology on Profile offers users the same user interface and the data management speed available on all high field scanners. Availability on the Profile system will enable improved patient handling and workflow with a potential to improve patient throughput.  The EXCITE platform was developed and deployed on GE's high field cylindrical Signa systems and has migrated throughout the company's MR line.

The 0.2T Profile EXCITE technology is a patient-friendly scanner that offers higher performance at low field.  The open MR environment virtually eliminates patient anxiety and claustrophobia.
