GE updates ultrasound platform with elastography, needle tracking
GE Healthcare has added elastography and needle tracking capabilities to its Logiq E9 ultrasound platform.
The company said its Logiq E9 introduces ultrasound elastography utilizing a high frequency E-series transducer with a compression technique. The tool is designed to help obtain information about internal tissue structures.
Earlier this month, GE also added volume navigation needle tracking for the Logiq E9. The device, accompanied by a navigation system and a sensor tipped needle, can help with interventional procedures such as biopsies, ablations, drainage, fluid aspiration and general injections.
