REACH, a HIT Regional Extension Center, is using lessons learned from DOQ-IT to bring North Dakota and Minnesota providers, small and critical access hospitals (CAHs) and integrated delivery networks to meaningful use and beyond.

Objectives:
  • Identify the optimal process for rapidly bringing small clinics at any stage of EHR adoption to the point of being meaningful users of EHR.
  • Identify the key barriers facing clinics and CAHs attempting to achieve meaningful use including successful methods for overcoming these barriers.
  • Describe a method of working with large health systems already on their way to stage one Meaningful Use in order to prepare them for stage 2 and beyond.
  • Identify methods for coordinating with other grantees of the HITECH Act funds to enhance all of our abilities to meaningfully use health information technology.
