IDX sales and earnings remain solid in 3Q of FY04

Inking a number of contracts and installations helped IDX Systems Corp. maintain revenue and earnings momentum in the third quarter of FY04, ending September 30.

Revenues increased 34 percent to $136.1 million, compared with $101.4 million in the third quarter of FY03. Net income was reported at $9.8 million, compared with a net income of $10.3 million in the year ago quarter.

For the nine-month period, revenues increased 26 percent to $369.0 million, compared with revenues of $292.2 million in the first nine months of FY03. The company recorded a net income of $19.4 million, compared with a net income of $19.4 million in the year-ago period.

Healthcare organizations that signed on with IDX for deployment of its systems and technologies include: the Diagnostic Division of HealthSouth, the University of Minnesota Physicians, Conemaugh Health Initiatives, Middletown Regional Hospital of Middletown, Ohio, and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital of Philadelphia, Pa.
