Oregon provider to install 15 Toshiba ultrasound units

To upgrade its ultrasound systems across three facilities, Asante in Medford, Ore., purchased 15 of Toshiba America Medical Systems’ ultrasound systems for its Asante Three Rivers Medical Center, Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center and Asante Imaging.

Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba said its Aplio 500 and Aplio 300 from Toshiba allow Asante to conduct all general ultrasound imaging, OB/GYN and vascular exams, and to expand its service lines to breast, musculoskeletal and pediatric imaging.

The Aplio 500 delivers imaging with advanced visualization features, including Fly Thru, which gives a perspective to 4D ultrasound, allowing clinicians to “fly through” interiors of ducts and vessels for better exploration of lesions and masses. Both the Aplio 500 and 300 come standard with workflow tools and ergonomics, including the iStyle+ Productivity Suite.
