Siemens upgrades ultrasound in U.K.

Siemens Healthcare has launched a 3.0 software upgrade for the Acuson S2000 diagnostic ultrasound system and a 6C1 HD transducer in the U.K.

The S2000 is designed for OB/GYN, cardiac, breast, small parts and vascular imaging plus deep abdominal penetration. Updates to the third generation of the system include a cardiac eSieScan workflow protocol, additional general text and body marker workflow options, a showcase DICOM viewer and an embedded antivirus security software.

The 6C1 transducer is designed for use in abdominal examinations that require deep image penetration as well as obstetric and pelvic examinations.
