SonoSite aligns with distributor to small office market

SonoSite, a developer of point-of-care ultrasound systems, has signed an agreement with United Medical Instruments (UMI), a San Jose, Calif.-based distributor of new and pre-owned ultrasound systems, to distribute its products into certain small office markets.

Under this relationship, UMI will act as an additional distributor of SonoSite’s M-Turbo and MicroMaxx ultrasound systems and will serve as a re-seller of SonoSite’s used products from its older lines, according to Bothell, Wash.-based SonoSite.
