Toshiba appoints Cooper to head CT unit

Toshiba America Medical Systems has named Joseph Cooper as director of its CT business unit.

Serving most recently as senior manager of the CT business unit in charge of strategic development and a Toshiba employee for the past five years, Cooper’s responsibilities now will include the implementation of marketing plans for customer satisfaction, as well as market share growth and profitability. He also will interface with the global business unit at Toshiba Medical Systems in Japan to communicate the needs and requirements of the U.S. market, stated Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba.

Prior to his employment with Toshiba, Cooper was responsible for the management and development of the CT market for Siemens Healthcare throughout southern California, the company added.
