Zonare to showcase growing family of ultrasound platforms at AIUM

Mt. View, Calif. – April 2, 2013 - ZONARE Medical Systems, the pioneer and developer of next generation ultrasound technology, will be showcasing its growing family of ultrasound platforms at the annual American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) meeting being held April 7-9, 2013 in New York. The product line includes the ZS3, which was recently introduced, and the z.one ultra ultrasound systems.

“We have been pleased with the response to our new platform, the ZS3, as well as the ongoing enthusiasm for our z.one ultra systems,” said Timothy A. Marcotte, president and CEO for ZONARE. “Our customers indicate that all of our platforms offer outstanding imaging with low cost of ownership.  ZONARE platforms were designed to support state-of-the-art patient care provided by our rapidly expanding community of clinicians.”

ZONARE’s Living Technology delivers ultrasound imaging excellence based on a dynamic and open architecture that allows continual platform evolution to meet the changing needs of clinicians. ZONE Sonography ™ Technology (ZST) is an innovative approach to echo data acquisition and image formation. Using a small number of large "zones," ZST acquires ultrasound data up to ten times faster than conventional systems and implements the full reality of data acquisition and management in software rather than hardware.

“The ZST platform enables the clinician to see anatomical reality within the images,” said Glen Mclaughlin, PhD, vice president and chief technical officer for ZONARE.  “Additionally, our ZS3 five-year Living Technology coverage provides image enhancements and service support. This enables continual advancement of benchmark imaging that is made possible because of ZST.”
