Aperio updates pathology management system

Aperio has released a new version of Spectrum digital pathology image and information management system.

Spectrum Release 11 enhances workflow capabilities and enables the viewing, analysis and management of digital slides and other images in a multi-user, multi-site environment, according to the Vista, Calif.-based developer of digital pathology systems.

Spectrum consolidates pathology cases, projects, specimens and slides into an integrated source with 24/7 access. The new release supports image analysis applications, such as fluorescence image analysis support and histogram data displays, to highlight and extract information from digital slides managed by the system, Aperio said.
