GE expands radiopharma portfolio
GE Healthcare has introduced a new version of platforms for 18F tracer production and a PETtrace 880 cyclotron at the World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC) in Kyoto, Japan.
The TRACERcenter for preclinical imaging, combines site planning, capacity cyclotrons, an infrastructure platform and a portfolio of qualified reagents to start up, and run a pre-clinical imaging center. The company introduced a new version, TRACERlab FX N Pro which will be equipped with a second reactor. The new product will be available later this year, said the company.
GE also recently added TRACERcenter 710S, upgradeable solution for customers establishing their own infrastructure platform for radiotracer research, production or distribution. The TRACERcenter 710S produces tracers for oncology, offering customers tracer production possibilities with upgrade packages for neurology and cardiology.
The company also expanded its FASTlab platform to synthesize PET radiopharmaceuticals. In addition to the existing cassettes for 18F-FDG and 18F-NaF, GE is introducing cassettes for 18F-FLT and 18F-FMISO in 2011. In addition, the company is offering an alternative FDG cassette that will utilize the synthesis method of the TRACERlab MX system.
