Positron opens cardiac PET training center

Positron, a molecular imaging company focused on nuclear cardiology, has opened its clinical and technical Cardiovascular PET Training Institute in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

The training center will educate physicians, technologists, nurses and administrators on the use and benefits of cardiac PET imaging in the daily operations of their facility, said the Fishers, Ind.-based company.

The training will be done in partnership with the Heart Center of Niagara where Positron's medical director, Michael E. Merhige, MD, currently operates a Coronary Artery Disease Reversal and Prevention Center guided by Positron PET imaging technologies, added Positron.
