Positron receives radioactive materials license

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has licensed Positron’s facility in Fishers, Ind., to handle radioactive material.

A radioactive material handling license allows Positron to test equipment and develop new technologies, including pharmaceuticals, according to the company. “A radioactive material license directly benefits our current product line and increases our ability to deliver new technologies,” stated John A. Zehner, Positron COO and radiation safety officer.

Positron, based in Indianapolis, is a molecular imaging company focused on nuclear cardiology.
