Siemens unveils PET/CT app for myocardial blood flow

Siemens Healthcare has released syngo Dynamic PET with Myocardial Blood Flow, a new cardiac imaging software application for its Biograph PET/CT scanners.

The new syngo Dynamic PET with Myocardial Blood Flow application allows the measurement of myocardial blood flow during PET perfusion studies.
The company said that static perfusion and the dynamic perfusion required for myocardial blood flow is now possible with single-injection protocols on the Biograph family of PET/CT scanners.

The application is being demonstrated this week at the American Society for Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) Scientific Session in Minneapolis.
