Siemens to use ONCOlogs carrier to dock PET/CT

Siemens Healthcare has selected LinkMed’s ONCOlog Medical “Dignity Carrier” for preparing patients for PET/CT imaging for special applications.

The first installation with the solution of transportation of patients, from set up and/or treatment rooms to PET/CT room, will be performed at the particle therapy center at the University of Heidelberg in Germany dutring this spring, said ONCOlog Medical, based in Uppsala, Sweden.

The irradiated patient has to be moved in a very short time due to the degradation of radioactivity and with ONCOlog Medical Dignity Carrier, the irradiated patient can be transported in treatment position to undergo PET imaging, according to the company.
