SNM names two new editors-in-chief: JNM, JNMT

The Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) has replaced its editors-in-chief for both the Journal of Nuclear Medicine (JNM) and the Journal of Nuclear Medicine Technology (JNMT), selecting Dominique Delbeke, MD, and Norman E. Bolus, MPH, CNMT, to lead the respective publications.

Electing both new editors at its January meeting, SNM said the current editors-in-chief of JNM, Heinrich Schelbert, MD, PhD, and JNMT, Frances L. Neagley, CNMT, FSNMTS, will work with Delbeke and Bolus throughout their several-month transition processes.

Delbeke, who is professor and director of nuclear medicine and PET for the department of radiology and radiological sciences at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., has been confirmed for the appointment through 2016. Schelbert had served as editor-in-chief since 2004 and expressed his admiration for Delbeke.

Bolus currently serves as director of the nuclear medicine technology program and assistant professor in the department of clinical and diagnostic sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Health Professions.

Both incoming editors will select associate and consulting editors as they transition into their respective editorial roles.
