Tenet, MED3000 launch health IT venture

Tenet Healthcare is now a 20 percent minority owner of MED3OOO Practice Resources, a joint venture launched by a subsidiary of Tenet and MED3OOO, which provides healthcare management and technology to physicians and physician networks.

The joint venture will initially focus on providing services to physician practices in the 12 states where Tenet operates, including the majority of employed physicians at Tenet hospitals, according to the Dallas-based Tenet.

MED3OOO Practice Resources will provide health IT, including practice management systems, EHRs and personal health records, and management services including revenue cycle management, group purchasing and practice and data management.
