Trident Molecular Imaging signs five-year PET-CT pact with Siemens

Siemens Medical Solutions will supply its biograph PET/CT systems to the Knoxville-based Trident Molecular Imaging LLC.

The two companies inked a five-year agreement for future purchases of the biograph PET/CT systems. Trident currently operates three PET/CT imaging centers in Georgia and plans to expand its services to other imaging centers in the southeast region of the United States.

Siemens' biograph PET/CT system recently introduced features, such as HI-Rez technology, which can provide greater than 250 percent improvement in volumetric image resolution; the Pico-3D option, which offers ultra-fast detector electronics to enhance image quality; a six-slice CT biograph companion to existing two- and 16-slice configurations; and further integration into the Siemens Leonardo post-processing IT workplace, which provides automated workflows to reduce administrative work and accelerate clinical processes.
