VHA reveals the winners of its 21st annual leadership awards

At its 21st annual VHA Leadership Conference in San Diego in April, the organization honored eight healthcare organizations with leadership Awards.

Honored to both individual hospitals and multi-facility systems, VHA says the awards were given out based on their efforts to improve clinical effectiveness, operational performance, supply chain management and community health.

Based on category, the organizations include:
  • Clinical Effectiveness: Centra Health Inc., Lynchburg, Va. (hospital division); Deaconess Billings Clinic, Billings, Mont. (system division);

  • Community Health Improvement: Pitt County Memorial Health, Greenville, N.C. (hospital division); Sutter Health, Sacramento, Calif. (system division);

  • Improving Operational Performance and Service: Danbury (Conn.) Hospital (hospital division); Ochsner Clinic Foundation, New Orleans (system division);

  • Improving Supply Chain Management: St. Cloud (Minn.) Hospital, CentraCare Health System (hospital division); Hartford (Conn.) Health Care Group (system division).
