WMIC starts in Dublin this week
The World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC 2012) is starting this week, Sept. 5, at the convention center in Dublin, which attracts thousands of researchers, practitioners and scholars from more than 30 countries.
The educational program of the conference has been upgraded to include several new course areas. World Molecular Imaging Society (WMIS), the organizing society behind the WMIC event, said it has received record number of abstracts and has lined up some imaging thought leaders presenting at the conference. Also, exhibitors from dozens of companies will be displaying their products and services during the convention.
“Despite a challenging economy in Europe, we see no signs of a slowdown in our conference. Every measure is up. And we are very excited about the gains the society has made since its inception one year ago,” said Kim Pierce, executive director of WMIS.
WMIS is an academic and professional society for molecular imaging. From projects such as PET awareness campaigns and registry management on the clinical side to developing preclinical models and training programs, WMIS said it is active across the molecular imaging and molecular medicine realms.
