Chocolate milk, Will Smith, and the concussion study nobody could read
When the movie “Concussion” starring Will Smith hit theaters, a chocolate milk company wanted to use the opportunity to promote its drink’s ability to help young athletes recover from concussions, according to a new report by the Associated Press.
The AP points out that this is the continuation of an ongoing saga involving the company, Fifth Quarter Milk.
Back in December 2015, a press release came out promoting the milk’s effectiveness at “improving the cognitive and motor functions of high school football players, even after they suffered concussions.” But the actual study was never released to the public.
