Eclipsys names VP of technology and CTO

Eclipsys Corp. has hired John Gomez as senior vice president of technology and chief technology officer (CTO). Gomez most recently served as senior vice president and CTO with  WebMD Corp., where he managed technology-related aspects of the Elmwood Park, N.J. company's consumer and physician portals. His career includes contributions to the early development of Microsoft Corp.'s .NET technology.
