Nucletron lands Midwest install

Cook County Radiation Oncology at Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago has implemented Nucletron’s partial breast irradiation treatment, AccuBoost, into its radiation oncology program.

AccuBoost uses a non-invasive, high dose rate brachytherapy treatment for breast cancer, utilizing real-time mammography to target the radiation dose directly to the lumpectomy site, said the Veenendaal, Netherlands-based company.

Nucletron said its breast cancer treatment system is currently installed in 14 states across the U.S., with four additional installations slated for this month.
