Mikron, Fujifilm ink mammo distribution deal

Medical imaging systems distributor Mikron Digital Imaging-Midwest has signed a partnership with Fujifilm Medical Systems for the distribution of its line of Aspire digital mammography equipment and services.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Livonia, Mich.-based Mikron will market the Fujifilm line, including the Aspire ClearView-CSm, Aspire ClearView-1m and the DryPix 5000 Dry Laser Imager to Michigan, the northern half of Illinois, Wisconsin and northern Iowa. The partnership will move Mikron's mammography offerings from film-based to digital.
