Varian brings radiotherapy to Indian oncology center

Varian Medical Systems has equipped the first in a planned series of new radiotherapy centers in India--Fortis International Oncology Centre in Noida, India--with its radiotherapy equipment and software technology.

According to the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company, the new center is among the first in India to offer the RapidArc image-guided intensity-modulated radiotherapy system and the Trilogy linear accelerator.

Varian said its products will be employed at other oncology centers slated to be built over the next two years.
