Nucletron unveils brachytherapy, external beam treatment planning

Nucletron will be releasing Oncentra, multi-modality treatment planning system for brachytherapy and external beam treatment, during the fourth quarter.

Oncentra v4.0 premieres a graphics processor unit calculation capability and features a new plan manager module that automates tasks during treatment planning with a new applicator-modeling feature, according to Nucletron, which is headquartered in Veenendaal, the Netherlands.

The company also said its Oncentra v4.0 will be on display and available for demonstration during the American Association of Physicists in Medicine annual meeting in Philadelphia this week.
