ASRT, Elekta announce 2010 radiation therapy scholarship winners
The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Education and Research Foundation and Stockholm-based clinical oncology and neurosurgery provider Elekta have announced this year’s Elekta Radiation Therapy Educators Scholarship recipients.
According to the Albuquerque, N.M.-based society, each $5,000 scholarship is bestowed to ASRT members who are a director, faculty member, clinical coordinator or clinical instructor pursuing their bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degrees.

The 2010 winners are:
- Megan L. Trad of Austin, Texas, currently enrolled in a doctoral degree program in adult professional and community education at Texas State University;
- Shellie I. Warino of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, enrolled in a master’s program in health education at Kent State University;
- Jeannie L. Jimerson of Martinsville, Ind., enrolled in a master’s degree program in dosimetry at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale; and
- Nishele D. Lenards of Prior Lake, Minn., enrolled in a doctoral program in education.
