JAMA Oncology: New journal to focus on cancer research, innovations

The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Network's new journal, JAMA Oncology, will officially launch online Feb. 12. 

JAMA Oncology will be headed by editor Mary L. Disis, MD, a professor of medicine at the University of Washington, Seattle. It's the JAMA Network's first new publication since 1999.

Under Disis' leadership, the new journal will cover medical, surgical and radiation oncology, including new research and innovations to cancer patient care. Online content will be published weekly on Thursdays and its first print edition is slated for April.
