A radiologist in Tennessee has filed a federal class action lawsuit against the American Board of Radiology (ABR) that alleges the ABR is in violation of antitrust laws.

A new AI-based software called the Ensemble Algorithm with Multiple Parcellations for Schizophrenia Prediction, or EMPaSchiz, can identify schizophrenia on fMRI scans with 87 percent accuracy, according to a recent report by AI in Healthcare.

Mango, MD, a breast radiologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, AI can help breast imagers and physicians see beyond basic breast density information provided by mammographic images and improve clinical management overall.

A screen-printed 12-channel pediatric MRI coil produced images with comparable quality and similar signal-to-noise ratio as those produced by a traditional 32-channel coil. Pediatric patients and their providers preferred the screen-printed coil for its flexibility and comfort.

A record number of patients in Scotland are waiting more than six weeks for imaging exams and treatment, according to recent statistics obtained by Scotland’s The Herald.

Researchers have created a machine learning model that identified 98 percent of malignant atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH) lesions prior to surgery, according to a single-center study published in JCO Clinical Cancer Informatics. The approach saved 16 percent of women from unnecessary surgery.
