Konica names new VP of marketing

Konica Medical Imaging Inc. has named Bill Ward as its vice president of marketing and sales. Ward most recently served as executive vice president of ImageCare Inc., a global healthcare marketing consulting firm in Barrington, Ill.

 Ward will handle field sales, corporate accounts, marketing and new business development for Konica Minolta Medical Imaging USA. Parent companies Konica Corp. in Tokyo and Minolta Co. Ltd., of Osaka, Japan, are scheduled to complete their merger by Oct. 1. Ward's career includes marketing positions at the former DuPont Diagnostic Imaging and Sterling Diagnostic Imaging. He also served as director strategic marketing and new business development at Agfa Corp.
