Accuray, IMPAC to merge technologies

Accuray and IMPAC Medical Systems, an Elekta company, will collaborate to develop interoperability between the CyberKnife Robotic Radiosurgery System and the Mosaiq oncology information system.

Using DICOM standard interface protocols, both treatment plan and delivery information from the Accuray’s CyberKnife will automatically feed directly into IMPAC’s EMR, the companies said.

The CyberKnife produces treatment records for the patient’s chart; and Mosaiq's electronic data exchange coordinates with the CyberKnife, according to the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Accuray and the Chicago-based IMPAC.
