Accuray introduces CyberKnife VSI
Radiation therapy device developer Accuray has added the Cyberknife VSI to its family of robotic radiosurgery systems.
The new technology will contain a conventionally fractionated robotic intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) to provide physicians the capability to indicate the best course of treatment in accordance with patient needs, Accuray said.
The CyberKnife system is designed to minimize tissue damage during the treatment of tumors by using image guiding technology and computer controlled robotic mobility, according to the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Accuray.
