Alliance Oncology expands into Arkansas with rad onc group

Alliance Oncology, a division of Alliance HealthCare Services, has completed its acquisition of Little Rock, Ark.-based Arkansas Cancer Institute's radiation oncology unit via mergers and acquisitions firm, the Woodbridge Group.

The radiation oncology unit--which offers intensity modulated radiation therapy and image-guided radiation therapy, in addition to CT and PET--will continue to offer diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy services to patients in Arkansas by way of the acquisition, stated Newport Beach, Calif.-based Alliance Oncology.
