ASTRO: Nucletron introduces new VMAT solution

Nucletron has launched its new treatment radiation oncology planning solution for rotational therapy, the Oncentra volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), at the American Society for Radiation Oncology’s (ASTRO) annual conference this week in Chicago.

The open planning solution, within the Oncentra external beam treatment planning system, supports image-guided photon, electron and proton treatment delivery, according to the Utrecht, Netherlands-based company.

“The recent addition enabling VMAT to the Oncentra treatment planning system reinforces the multimodality planning capability of Oncentra that includes brachytherapy and external beam treatments as well,” said Jos Lamers, CEO of Nucletron.
