Elekta names Alexander head of Asia Pacific

Ian Alexander has been named executive vice president of Elekta’s Asia Pacific region.

Alexander has been a member of Elekta’s executive committee since 2008 and is currently chief operating officer of the company. Prior to joining Elekta, he has held several senior regional management positions, running the European region at Bayer Diagnostics and the Asia Pacific region while at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics.

Alexander will assume the position effective May 1, and is replacing Laurent Leksell, who has been acting in the position since December 2008.
