Elekta upgrades radiotherapy autosegmentation software

Radiotherapy technology provider Elekta has released its upgraded radiation therapy planning software, the Atlas-based Autosegmentation (ABAS) 2.0 software.

The software includes the simultaneous truth and performance level estimation (STAPLE) algorithm and a new user interface featuring DICOM service, the Stockholm-based company said. The software also will allow medical residents to be tested by comparing their manually segmented contours with those generated by Atlas, Elekta added.
