Elekta's Gamma Knife system utilized in Sweden

Clinicians at Solna, Sweden-based Karolinska University Hospital have performed a Gamma Knife surgery at Sophiahemmet Hospital in Stockholm, utilizing Elekta’s fifth generation radiosurgery system, Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion.

Karolinska clinicians are currently treating typical Gamma Knife indications-including metastases, arteriovenous malformations, dural fistulas and acoustic neuromas, with the ability to treat multiple metastases in the same session and more patients, said Stockholm-based Elekta.
